What goes with Turkey?
Updated: Nov 26, 2019
A common query this time of year is, of course, 'which wine goes with turkey?'. You can never go wrong with a nice Pinot Noir or balanced Chardonnay, but what about the mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and (my personal favorite) deviled eggs? Gewurztraminer (ga-VERTZ-trah-mee-ner) is a lovely Alsatian and German aromatic white can tie all of our favorite feast flavors together. It can complement the fruit in cranberry salad, contrast the butter in the mashed potatoes and can even pair with apple pie.
Bubbles from Prosecco to Champagne are always good to have on hand as they help reset the palate from salad to main course to dessert. Whatever you choose, remember our tastes are all unique and, ultimately, what you like is always what pairs best!
